To
CSP Applicant:
(Applicant Name)
For those pasture acres you wish to enroll in CSP, please consider
the following required minimum level of treatment. If you do not apply nutrients
to your pasture acres, you may disregard this worksheet.
The minimum
level of treatment for nutrient management on pasture is:
. • Current soil test (within the last three years) which tests for at a minimum P2O5, K2O and pH.
. • Nitrogen, P2O5, and K2O from commercial fertilizer(s) are applied at or below agronomic rates based on UVM recommendations, a Certified Crop Advisor, or soil test recommendations.
. • Nitrogen, P2O5, and K2O from manure or other organic by-products are applied according to a nutrient management plan where phosphorus levels are being managed to prevent excessive soil test P levels and nitrogen applications do not exceed the recommended nitrogen rates during the year of application.
. • Minimum of two years of written records that document these requirements.
.
•
Current manure or compost test (within last three years) which tests at a
minimum for Nitrogen, P2O5
and K2O.
If
you carry out nutrient management on your pasture acres and you believe that you
meet the minimum treatment level requirements, please complete the following
Nutrient Management Inventory Worksheet. This information will help us with
assessing the benchmark condition for this land use. An example is provided to
assist you.
