Vermont Accessible Soil Fact Sheets

Soil fact sheets are also available in a format that is compatible with screen reading software.  Each soil map unit in Vermont has a soil fact sheet that is a separate Adobe Acrobat PDF file.  Each fact sheets contains a list of the most commonly requested soils information.

What is on a Fact Sheet? (296KB)

Soil fact sheets can be downloaded from the FTP site.  They are organized in directories by county.  The file naming convention used is the county followed by the map unit symbol.  For example: the file Addison_A d A.pdf contains the soil fact sheet for map unit AdA in Addison County.

Each county directory also contains a file of the abbreviations and footnotes used in each fact sheet and a file listing the soil survey legend for each county.  These are the first two files listed in each directory.
